Requests for supporting letters and applications

Edited

Summary: We can confirm your diagnosis in writing, but we unfortunately can’t provide supporting letters or reports for benefit, housing, education, or mobility applications. Your GP or wider care team can help with these.

What documentation we can provide

Once you’ve been diagnosed, you’ll receive an outcome report which includes a single-page letter confirming your diagnosis. It’s yours to use however it’s helpful.  Share it with your school or workplace to request reasonable adjustments, or simply as proof of your diagnosis.

What we're unable to support

Our clinical focus is on assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Unfortunately, this means we can't provide letters or reports to support other types of applications. This includes applications for:

  • Blue Badge

  • Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA)

  • Additional exam time

  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

  • Housing or local authority support

  • Guide dog or assistance animal schemes

  • Concessionary or disabled bus passes

  • Any other benefit, mobility, education, housing, or social care-related application

Why we can't help with these requests

These applications need someone with a full picture of your health and day-to-day life – not just your ADHD or autism. We specialise in ADHD and autism assessment, diagnosis and treatment, so this isn’t something we’re best placed to help with.

Who can help instead

For applications like this, it’s worth reaching out to:

  • Your GP

  • A member of your wider care team

  • Any relevant specialists involved in your ongoing care

  • Your local authority or education provider, where applicable

These are people who’ll have a fuller view of your support needs, and they’ll have the right context to provide the kind of documentation these applications usually need.
