Can I take my ADHD medication overseas when I go on holiday?
Travelling with your ADHD medication is absolutely possible – and with a little preparation, it can be straightforward too.
The most important thing to do before you travel is check the legal status of your medication in the country you're visiting. Some countries have restrictions on ADHD medications, so it's worth confirming this in advance with the relevant embassy or authorities. Always take your prescription with you.
Requesting a travel letter

If you're travelling for longer than a month and need a longer prescription, we may ask for proof of travel.
A couple of things to know:
Travel letters aren't part of NHS services, so there's a £20 processing fee for both NHS and private patients. We'll get your letter ready as soon as payment is received – just make sure you pay using the same email address we have on file for you, so we can match it up quickly and avoid any delays.
Where you can, please give us 7-10 days' notice. We'll always do our best, but we can't guarantee your letter will arrive in time if payment comes in after that window.
